New Blog New Podcasts
Mar 14th
In the process of going through all of my old podcasts on 1MC, after getting through about half of them (a good 150), I finally came across a Windows-based computer program that does what I’ve always wanted to do with podcasts ever since I found out what a podcast was back in 2006. It took a good three years, but someone finally made a program that creates Audiobook chapters on a Windows PC. And as a result, I’ve had to go back and re-do all the updates I’ve already made to make the 1MC.US podcasts RSS/iTunes friendly. So after coming to the reality it’ll take longer than a few months to complete this huge task – going through every podcasts (over 300 and counting now) and specifying when each song starts and stops, inputting the tracks artist and song title for each song in each podcasts – I have decided I’m just going to start fresh with a brand new Web site, brand new Web log, brand new podcast while slowly going back to 1MC.US and updating the old podcasts.
I began 1MC.US with another person – Maxwell (aka Lockz) from Connecticut. And after he went M.I.A. almost a year ago I’ve been the only one maintaining the site, so I decided to take steps to make my podcasts more user-friendly both for the Web as a whole and you as a listener. In order to accomplish that I have to start fresh with a more SEO Web site, blog, and podcasts. So while you go back through the many hundred podcasts I’ve posted here on 1MC.US, you can find my new joints at the following location.
I’ll do my best to keep the doors open for 1MC.US for as long as I can, but the domain name was in the control of Max, as the domain name and Web site began as his brainchild and I was just the guy who could put it together behind the scenes. As time went on things shifted and I started becoming more active with posts. Now I’m not quite sure how I’m going to renew the domain for 1MC.US when time comes to do so. Thus, it only makes sense to start anew sooner than later. So everyone has fair forewarning of the possible closing of 1MC.US in the future. Rather than the site just randomly disappearing someday, you now know where to find me if that day should come.
Peace,
