News: Great Joy!

Happy fucking day! Someone actually left a comment on one of my podcasts. Check it out, because it’s such a rare site, I figure I might as well blog about it. LOL

News: Today’s Podcast Picks

First of all, I’d like to say Happy Black History Month! I plan to spend most of it going over my collection of podcasts on here, updating them for the new RSS standard, so people like you who read my blog for my podcasts can easily syndicate them on your computers or portable devices you choose to listen to podcasts on.

So for today’s time spent updating what I can in the allotted time I have, I’ve chosen to spend it listening to two of my favorite podcasts – “Black Soap Podcast” and “A Time To Break Silence Podcast“. I highly recommend you give them a listen in celebration of Black History Month.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is hands down the greatest speaker I’ve ever heard, let alone a great black speaker. I did the podcast, A Time To Break Silence, just about this time two years ago when I was furious over the Iraq war and wanted to truly convey my complete feeling about war in general and how I feel about my country of origin – the United States of America. Nothing captures it as great as the 1967 speech by MLK, “Beyond Vietnam – A Time To Break Silence.” I hope you enjoy. Study it, and apply it to today’s issues – including the current economic crisis in America.

My Black Soap Podcast really is a highlight of a great debut album by an artist of the name, Fatal Prose. It is simply my three favorite tracks off the album, which you can feel free to purchase on CDBaby.com like I did.

Shout out to Ill Poetic, whom I know through the Weightless Recordings message board. When I first heard the Fatal Prose debut album I had no knowledge of who Ill was, let alone that he produced the entire album, but after digging further into Midwest Hip-Hop I’ve found quite a bit of material from dude. Be sure to check out his latest work with Ohio emcee, Illogic – “One Bar Left“. And get ready for his next release with Illogic, Diabolical Fun, coming out March 24th, 2009. Be on the look out!
